The NME has announced that The Strokes debut album 'Is This It?' from 2001 has been named 'Album of the Decade'.  Full story here.

For what it's worth, I've always thought the definition of a great album was not just in the music, but also how much of an influence on that generation the album had.

The likes of the Strokes, The Libertines, and Nirvana and Oasis before them influenced how people dressed, how they acted, and spawned many an 'a-like' band.

If you like theirThe Strokes' 'Is This It' named NME's album of the decade music or not, you can't argue with an influence like that!

Below is a reminder of why they've won this accolade, enjoy! -
